Lincoln’s skyline could soon grow taller as plans move forward for a major new housing development downtown. Developers presented updated designs Tuesday for an 11-story residential building on the corner of 11th and N Streets.
The proposed project would bring 338 residential units to a site that includes the area where part of the historic Gold’s Building was demolished in 2023. The project, proposed by REV Development, also includes ground-floor space that could be used for retail shops, a lobby, or other active commercial uses.
The lobby of the building would include a pickleball court, fitness center, lounge, pool and dog park. Plans call for wider sidewalks and additional landscaping designed to enhance the pedestrian experience in the area.
Developers will revise the plans and return to the Urban Design Committee on July 7. Following that review, a formal development package, including the proposed TIF agreement, will be prepared for consideration by the Lincoln City Council.
The council is expected to hold a public hearing before voting on the project later this year.
