A lockdown pitching effort by Alexis Jensen and Jordy Frahm propelled No. 1 Nebraska softball to a 1-0 win over Grand Canyon Sunday in the NCAA Regional championship at Bowlin Stadium/Rhonda Revelle Field in Lincoln.

Jensen (24-2) allowed just one hit in five innings, surrendering just one walk while striking out seven. Frahm threw two no-hit innings to earn her 12th save of the season, tying a Big Ten record for saves in a single season. Neither Jensen nor Frahm allowed a Lopes (54-10) runner to reach third base.

The Cornhuskers (49-6) needed a great pitching effort, as Nebraska could muster only one run offensively. With two out in the bottom of the first inning, Hannah Camenzind lofted a home run to right field put the lone run of the game on the board.

Jensen and Frahm made it hold up, part of a dominant weekend from the tandem. Jensen and Frahm pitched 21 innings allowed just one run and six hits as the Huskers won all three regional games and advanced to Super Regionals for the second straight year.

Nebraska will host Oklahoma State, which steamrolled through the Stillwater Regional including an 11-5 win over Stanford Sunday in the regional final. The Huskers and Cowgirls met twice in late February in Stillwater. On Feb. 26, Oklahoma State beat Nebraska, 2-1 in 11 innings. On Feb. 28, the Huskers won 4-3. Since the loss on Feb. 28, Nebraska has won 38 of its last 39 games.

The schedule for the series will be released later Sunday, but all three games (if necessary) will be broadcast on B-107.3. Tickets for the Super Regional go on sale Monday.
