Public Art Lincoln is inviting the community to its first-ever Public Art Lincoln Stroll on Saturday, May 16, a free outdoor event highlighting public art across downtown Lincoln.
The one-mile walk will run from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. through Union Plaza and is designed for all ages. Participants will begin at the Jayne Snyder Trails Center (250 N. 21st Street), where they can pick up maps and event information before setting out along the route.
Organizers say the stroll will feature art installations, interactive activities and opportunities to learn about the artists and stories behind the works.
“This event is about connecting people – with art, with place, and with each other,” said Elizabeth Katt, executive director of Public Art Lincoln.
Free parking will be available at the Assurity Center Parking Garage (338 N. 20th Street).
