Strong to severe thunderstorms are expected to develop this afternoon and evening, with the greatest risk between 2 PM and 8 PM.
The National Weather Service early Thursday morning update shows the Lincoln area in the SLIGHT RISK area for severe development. Hail and strong winds are most likely in the forecast (see maps in the DSS Packet). An isolated tornado is also possible.
Cooler temperatures are forecast for Friday into the weekend with a chance of scattered precipitation and thunderstorms Saturday and Sunday.
