Nebraska outfielder Drew Grego was named Big Ten Co-Player of the Week and Freshman of the Week Monday by the Big Ten offices. Against No. 12 USC, Grego hit .444 with three home runs and 12 RBI. He also had a homer and three RBI Tuesday against Creighton. Grego is the first Husker to win a weekly award from the conference this season. Nebraska takes on Kansas Tuesday in Lawrence, Kan. First pitch is slated for 6 p.m., with pregame coverage beginning at 5:30 p.m. on KLIN.
