Investigators say a home was fully engulfed in flames when LFR crews responded to the Havelock Trailer Court near 60th and Platte Avenue around 4:00 Saturday afternoon.  Public Information Officer MJ Lierman says there was also a camper nearby with a shed and it did spread to a second mobile home.

“There was about $50,000 worth of damages and the one mobile home was a total loss.”  She says the fire was caused by a fire pit ember that had extended into some grass and some trash outside the trailer that was destroyed.

She says a man tried to put out the flames initially, but they spread too quickly. The man and the the resident from the other trailer had to be relocated.  No injuries were reported.
