Construction on U.S. Highway 77 near the Warlick Boulevard interchange will begin this Wednesday, April 15, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.

Weather permitting, single lane closures and shoulder closures on both northbound and southbound US-77, between mile marker 56 and mile marker 58.5, will be in place daily between from 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. to perform shoulder removals, grading and concrete paving.

When the lane closures are not in place and both driving lanes are open to traffic, the right shoulders on both northbound and southbound US-77 will be closed to traffic in the areas of the construction.

These lane closures will continue throughout the summer and into the fall as needed to complete the construction of the interchange.

Drivers are reminded to buckle up, and put phones down, and exercise caution in and near work zones.
