Behind a two-hit shutout from Jordy Frahm, the No. 7 Nebraska softball team blasted Wisconsin 6-0 Saturday in Madison, Wisc. Frahm’s shutout comes on the heels of Alexis Jensen’s two-hit shutout Friday night, a 5-0 Cornhuskers win.

Frahm was dominant in the circle, not allowing a hit until there were two outs in the bottom of the seventh. She allowed back-to-back infield singles before recording the final out in one of her most dominant performances at Nebraska. Frahm allowed just two hits with no walks and five strikeouts while throwing just 79 pitches in capturing the victory.

The Huskers’ offense did all of its damage in the top of the fourth. An RBI single by Jesse Farrell got Nebraska on the board. Jensen followed with a two-run homer to left, pushing the lead to 3-0. Later in the inning, Hannah Coor crushed a two-run single to left, growing the lead to 5-0. Hannah Camenzind capped the barrage with an RBI single to left to push the lead to 6-0.

Winners of 21 of their last 22, Nebraska will now try to finish the sweep of Wisconsin. Pregame coverage begins at 11:45 a.m., with first pitch at noon, on B-107.3.
