Some precipitation will begin as rain and turn into falling snow by midnight, according to NWS. Snowfall chances are expected to peak around midnight at 60% in Lincoln.

Affected Nebraska counties include: Knox, Cedar, Thurston, Antelope, Pierce, Wayne, Boone, Madison, Stanton, Cuming, Burt, Platte, Colfax, Dodge, Washington, Butler, Saunders, Douglas, Sarpy, Seward, Lancaster, Cass, Otoe, Saline, Jefferson, Gage, Johnson, Nemaha, Pawnee, and Richardson.

Elevated roadways like bridges and overpasses could become slick overnight. Residents are encouraged to allow themselves extra time for Tuesday morning’s commute. Areas seeing accumulation can expect muddy conditions by Tuesday afternoon.
