Lincoln Police were called to the Pizza Hut at 1150 S. Coddington around 5:15 Wednesday afternoon on a report of an ex-employee stealing funds.   LPD Public Information Manager Erika Thomas says the employee had been fired that day.

“The manager had conducted an audit on delivery drivers and determined 33-year- old Abel Zamora of Lincoln had 155 orders logged as ‘undeliverable’ from July 2024 to March 2026, all of which were paid in cash.”

Thomas says multiple customers had confirmed they did receive their pizza and paid in cash. The total amount stolen was reported to be nearly $6,300.  Zamora was arrested and taken to the Lancaster County Jail where he was booked for theft of more than $5,000.
