The combination of strong winds and low relative humidity is shaping up for possible Extreme Fire Weather concerns. The latest National Weather Service details include wind gusts Saturday in Southeast Nebraska as high as 30 to 35 mph.
Ahead of that, an Air Quality Alert is in effect until 10 am this morning. Red Flag Warnings have been issued for far Southern Nebraska Counties into Kansas.
This afternoon, a strong cold front will sweep across Nebraska and bring gusty winds and falling temperatures that will make conditions dramatically different.
