Two establishments lost liquor licenses following a public hearing before the Lincoln City Council Monday. LPD’s Scott Parker, an alcohol investigator, testified management of the Office gentlemen’s club and the neighboring Playmakers Sports Bar and Grill did not comply with several state liquor laws, city ordinances and other state laws.
Both businesses shared the same ownership and management. In May 2024, a double homicide outside The Office was investigated by LPD which found additional violations including alleged sex and drug trafficking and prostitution. Steve Stevenson is a co-owner of the the Office and told the council there was no evidence of any alleged trafficking in the business.
The vote to revoke the licenses was unanimous.
