Michigan’s Kurt Barr outdueled Nebraska’s Ty Horn as the Wolverines (11-9, 1-3 Big Ten) defeated the Cornhuskers, 2-1, Friday in Ann Arbor, Mich. The loss snapped Nebraska’s (16-6, 3-1 Big Ten) 11-game winning streak. Barr (3-2) allowed just one run and six hits while striking out 10 in seven innings pitched. Horn (0-1) was almost as good, allowing two runs in 4.2 innings while striking out eight.

The Huskers took a 1-0 lead in the first, as Case Sanderson drove in a run with a sacrifice fly. Drew Culbertson tied it for Michigan in the bottom of the second with a single up the middle to drive in a run. Then in the bottom of the third, Evan Haeger drove in a run with a single to center to give the Wolverines the lead.

Nebraska mounted scoring threats in both the fourth and fifth, but stranded two runners in both innings. The Huskers got two on with two out in the bottom of the ninth, but Mac Moyer grounded out to first base to end the game.

Moyer ended the game 2-for-5 with a double, while Devin Nunez was 2-for-3.
