Lincoln Police have released new details in a motorcycle crash at 27th and Vine late Thursday morning. Captain Todd Kocian says officers determined a 2011 Chevy Silverado pickup was westbound on Vine approaching 27th Street.
“As the pickup neared the intersection, a northbound 1983 Honda Goldwing motorcycle was turning east onto Vine Street from 27th,” Kocian says. “The motorcycle crossed over the median and struck the driver’s side front of the pickup.”
Kocian says 42-year-old man riding the motorcycle was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police say the man was under the influence of alcohol and was cited for first offense DUI, no proof of insurance, improper registration, negligent driving, and driving during revocation.
