A 19-year-old Lincoln man suffered life-threatening injuries following a one vehicle crash near SW 84th and West ‘A’ Street early Tuesday morning. LSO Chief Deputy Ben Houchin tells KLIN News crews from Pleasant Dale and Southwest Fire and Rescue responded to the scene along with LSO deputies.
Houchin says the driver was heading north and went into the southbound lanes before going into a ditch. The vehicle then struck a driveway and flipped over. Houchin says he was not wearing a seatbelt and had to be extricated from the vehicle.
“He also had to be life-flighted to a local hospital in critical condition,” Houchin says. “In our investigation, we believe that marijuana and alcohol were contributing factors in the accident.” The investigation is continuing.
