Nebraska forward Pryce Sandfort was named Big Ten co-Player of the Week Monday by the conference office. Sandfort split the honor with Northwestern’s Nick Martinelli. It’s the second Player of the Week honor for Sandfort.
Sandfort averaged 24 points per game while hitting 50 percent of his shots in wins over Maryland and USC. Against the Trojans, he scored 32 points and grabbed six rebounds, including 20 points after halftime. The Cornhuskers, elevated to No. 9 in the nation in the latest AP poll, return to action Tuesday at 10 p.m. at UCLA. Pregame coverage begins at 9 p.m. on KLIN.
