Lincoln Police were called to the area of 31st and Randolph around 4:15 Monday morning to investigate an assault and robbery. “A 40-year-old Lincoln woman told officers she was being driven around by two people who then assaulted her by hitting her in the legs with a metal rod,” says Public Information Manager Erika Thomas.
She says the suspects also took cash from the woman. “She was eventually let out of the vehicle and one of the suspects was believed to be armed with a gun.” Thomas says the woman was not threatened with the gun and refused medical treatment.
Thomas says the woman was familiar with the pair. The search for the suspects continues.
