The Nebraska Chamber of Commerce & Industry has named an interim president.
The state’s “voice” and lobbying group for businesses announced Thursday that Matt Williams of Gothenburg will step into the role following the recent resignation of President and CEO Todd Bingham.
Williams is a longtime NE Chamber board member for District 6, a former state senator who represented District 36 from 2015 to 2023, and currently serves as chairman of Flatwater Bank. He also previously served as chair of the Nebraska Bankers Association and the American Bankers Association.
He will serve in the interim position while the chamber searches for permanent leadership.
The NE Chamber dates back to 1912, and officially took the name in 1960. It is affiliated with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the National Association of Manufacturers.
