Lincoln Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help identifying suspects in two separate cases: one involving a hit-and-run crash in North Lincoln; the other involving a gas station robbery.

The first case occurred around 6:40 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 16, 2026, in the area of N. 27th and Holdrege Street.

LPD Video Forensics Technician Becky Keller said the victim in this case called to report being hit by another vehicle who turned out in front of him. Surveillance cameras on a nearby Star Tran bus captured the incident.

The victim was traveling northbound when the other car pulled out into the side of his vehicle, and then drove off after the accident. The suspect was driving a “newer, gray Volkswagen Beetle” with a possible sticker on the back window.

Video and photos from the incident are available below.

The second case occurred around 10:35 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2026, at the Kwik Shop gas station near 40th and “A” Streets.

Keller said the cashier was near a back fridge when he heard the front door chime go off and began to make his way up to the front of the store.

The clerk told officers a man in all black with a face covering had something in his pocket and pointed it at him, directing him to empty out the cash register. He complied and emptied the cash register, at which time, the man demanded he empty the second cash register, which the clerk said he didn’t have access to.

The suspect then took off. He is described as a black male with some kind of an accent, he appeared to be wearing gray socks with no shoes, and had a lighter colored face covering concealing his identity.

Video and photos from the incident are available below.
