Parking Bans: A Snow Emergency and two parking bans are in effect:

  • Snow Emergency Parking Ban:A snow emergency parking ban means parking is banned on both sides of emergency snow routes, arterial streets, school and bus routes. Maps of these routes are available at ne.gov/snow under the “Parking Bans & Ordinances” tab. Please plan for alternate parking to allow crews room to clear the way safely and efficiently.
  • Residential Parking Ban:A residential parking ban means parking is banned only on the even-numbered side of residential streets during 2026. This will assist snowplow crews in clearing neighborhood streets faster and more efficiently. A residential parking ban applies to streets that are not emergency snow routes, arterials or bus routes or included in a snow removal district.

City Operations: Winter operation crews are plowing arterial routes and applying granular salt pre-wet with brine. Additional crews began plowing residential streets last night and progress inspections will begin at 6 a.m. today.

National Weather Service: No active alerts

Weather conditions: Partly cloudy

Street conditions: Streets are snow covered. Drivers should be alert for slick spots.
