Lincoln Transportation and Utilities has announced that southbound North 48th Street between Holdrege and Dudley will close beginning Wednesday, February 18, for a water main repair project.

LTU says one southbound lane is scheduled to reopen this Friday.  Crews expect to complete water main repairs by February 27.  One northbound lane on 48th Street between Dudley and Holdrege is now open. Work in the northbound lanes will continue through February 25.

The recommended detour is Holdrege Street to 56th Street to Vine Street.  StarTran Route 48-North 48th will be detoured during this work.   Travelers are encouraged to seek an alternate route and exercise caution around this closure.
