Lincoln Police are investigating after a person was found dead Monday afternoon near 50th and R. LPD says officers were called to a retention pond after someone spotted the person in the water.
Arriving officers found the individual who was dead at the scene.
LFR responded and assisted with removing the individual from the water. The identity of the person is not yet known.
