The Nebraska State Patrol is honoring Trooper Kyle McAcy on Tuesday, marking one year since he was killed in the line of duty.
McAcy died Feb. 17, 2025, while responding to a crash on Interstate 80 near Ashland during a snowstorm. He was struck by a snowplow while assisting at the scene. In a social media post Tuesday, the agency remembered McAcy’s service and sacrifice.
“His service and sacrifice will always be remembered, but his impact on everyone he knew is unforgettable,” Nebraska State Patrol wrote on social media.
