Nebraska lotto players will see a new game at the check-out counter, one that could set them up for life.

On Sunday, Feb. 22, Nebraska Lottery will start offering a new multi-state game “Millionaire for Life.” Tickets are $5 with a top prize of $1 million a year for life. Players select five white ball numbers from one to 58 and one Millionaire Ball number from 1 to 5 for one play.

To win the $1 million a year for life prize, players must match all six winning numbers. A second prize of $100,000 a year for life can be won by matching all five white ball numbers. Other cash prizes range from $7,500 to $8.

The odds of winning $1 million a year for life are in 1 in 22,910,580, while the overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 8.47.

“For Life” prizes can be paid as an annuity for the length of the winner’s natural life, or as a lump sum. A minimum of 20 years’ worth of payments is guaranteed with the annuity option.

Drawings will be held daily after 10:15 p.m. Winning numbers will be available at the Nebraska Lottery website, nelottery.com, and the Lottery Player’s Hotline 800-224-LUCK (402-471-6139 in Lincoln.)
