Lincoln Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help identifying suspects in two separate cases: one involving the theft of four tires from a parked truck; the other involving a hit-and-run accident.

The first case occurred on Jan. 28, 2026, at a car lot in the area of 37th and Cornhusker Highway.

LPD Video Forensics Technician Becky Keller said the business called to report four tires and rims were stolen from a truck on their property overnight. Based on security footage, the incident likely occurred between 3-6 a.m. that same morning.

Investigators believe someone came onto the lot, loosened the lugnuts of each tire, jacked up the truck, and removed all four tires and rims. Evidently the suspect had difficulty removing the back passenger side tire, and used their truck to forcibly remove the last tire, causing significant damage to the truck. The total loss is estimated around $3,600.

Keller said these tires are “very unique.” The words “RED DIRT ROAD” can be read on the outer edge of the rim, and the initials “R-D-R” on the center cap. The rims are also described as having silver colored accents around the edge.

Video from the incident and example photos are available below.

The second case occurred on Friday, Feb. 6, 2026, in the area of North 27th and Fair Street.

Keller said someone called LPD to report that a car had been hit overnight in the nearby neighborhood. Home security cameras captured the accident occurring around 9:11 p.m., showing the driver failed to leave any information regarding this collision. The driver was observed circling back around to check out the damage and walking around outside the vehicle.

The suspect is described as an older white male, in a blue tank top, with a tattoo on his left bicep. He was driving a smaller, dark SUV.

Video and photos from the incident are available below.
