A Lincoln man is facing charges after police say he threatened and sexually assaulted his roommate.
KLIN media partner 10/11 NOW reports that 23-year-old Nathaniel Ruegg appeared in Lancaster County Court on Monday on a charge of terroristic threats. His bond was set at 10% of $30,000 with conditions.
According to court documents, officers were called Sunday to Bryan East Medical Center after a 28-year-old man reported a sexual assault. The victim told police Ruegg had harassed and assaulted him at their apartment and alleged that earlier that day Ruegg held a kitchen knife near his throat during an assault.
Officers contacted Ruegg at the apartment. Police said he denied the allegations but acknowledged holding a knife nearby and said he struck the victim as a joke. Investigators reported the victim provided video evidence related to a separate alleged incident. Ruegg was arrested and lodged in the Lancaster County Jail.
His next court appearance is scheduled for March 10 at 10 a.m.
