Lincoln Police say two city workers were injured in a two vehicle crash around 9:30 this morning near 37th and South Streets.  “The preliminary investigation determined a white 2020 Toyota
Camry driven by a 35-year-old Iowa woman collided head-on into a parked Lincoln Transportation and Utilities vehicle,” says LPD Public Information Manager Erika Thomas.

Police say the LTU truck was parked facing westbound on the outside eastbound lane of South Street.  “The two LTU employees, a 26-year-old Lincoln man and a 35-year-old Lincoln man, were taken to the hospital for injuries to their legs.”

She says both employees were standing behind the vehicle and it was pushed into them after the collision. The driver was taken to the hospital for minor injuries.  Thomas says a drug recognition expert did an evaluation and determined the driver was under the influence of drugs

The investigation is ongoing.
