Lincoln Police say two teenagers have been arrested after smashing their way into a vape shop near 56th and Shady Creek Drive around 4:30 Saturday morning. When officers arrived at Grateful Green, they found the front door glass was shattered.
LPD says a review of video showed a vehicle had been used to ram the front of the business so the two burglars could enter. Police say they stole a variety of items from the business then left the area before police arrived. The vehicle used to ram the business was later found to be stolen and was recovered unoccupied later in the day.
LPD says the burglars were identified and contacted by police around 10:30 Saturday night. An 18-year-old and a 15-year-old were arrested for burglary and theft by unlawful taking for stealing the car used to break into the business.
