LFR has released new details in Thursday morning’s house fire at 30th and Dudley that sent one person to the hospital. MJ Lierman says smoke and flames were coming from the home when crews arrived.
She says the fire started in the basement and burned up into the attic. “The inspector talked to the occupant who said they had been burning an incense candle overnight for light and heat because the power had been shut off.”
She says the owner gave permission to the person to stay there. That person was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. Damage is estimated at $75,000 to the house and $25,000 to the contents.
