Lincoln Police says they have been searching multiple counties since Monday for a missing Stromsburg couple believed to be dead. Lt. Dustin Romshek says on Tuesday they searched an area north of Malmo for the bodies of 26-year-old Hannah Neville and her husband, 27-year-old Roberto Tanner.

Several other agencies are assisting in the investigation and Romshek says it could take a couple of days to cover the large area in Saunders County.  He says they don’t have any indication that the couple was buried together.

LPD Chief Michon Morrow said Monday 24-year-old Sterling James is accused of killing Neville, who was reportedly  32 weeks pregnant, and Tanner.   Morrow says investigators determined James admitted to shooting the couple on January 15 and believe he buried their bodies and set Neville’s car on fire near 39th and Cornhusker.

James’  22-year-old Sayde Titus is accused of helping him after the murders.  James was booked on two counts of first-degree murder. Titus was jailed for two counts of aiding and abetting first-degree murder.

Romshek says digital evidence and social media messages led them to the area being searched.  He says there is no indication whether the couple will be found together.
