Lincoln Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help identifying suspects in two separate cases: one involving a holiday burglary at a high school; the other involving an early morning vandalism.
The first case occurred on New Years Eve, December 31, 2025, at Norris High School near S. 68th and Princeton Road.
LPD Video Forensics Technician Becky Keller said the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office received a call from the school’s principle on Friday, January 2nd around 8:20 a.m., reporting that his building had been burglarized overnight on New Years Eve, “just after the clock struck midnight.”
A male was caught on camera approaching the building, kicking in the glass door, reaching inside to open the door, and entering. Keller said the suspect left the building quickly.
Investigators believe the suspect may have come from a nearby New Year’s Eve party.
Photos from the incident are available below.
The second case occurred around 4:15 a.m. on Sunday, January 25, 2026, in the area of 38th and Holdrege Streets.
Keller said a frightened woman called Lincoln Police to report she was “in fear of her life” upon witnessing through her security camera a man knocking very hard on her front door.
The victim told investigators the man ripped her security camera off the bracket and eventually left. The woman was still able to access the security footage and shared it with Police.
Keller said, unfortunately, the man was dressed in all black clothing, so officers have not been able to determine any identifying features.
Video and photo from the incident are available below.
