Shortly after 2 am Saturday, Lincoln Police responded to a stabbing at the Travel Lodge Motel at 5250 Cornhusker.
Officers located the victim, who was reported to have a bleeding injury on his shoulder. Police determined the victim had been in a dispute with 37-year-old Joshua Dieckhoff of Lincoln. As the victim was attempting to leave, Dieckhoff allegedly produced a knife and stabbed the man in the neck and shoulder area.
The victim was transported to an area hospital and is in stable condition.
Dieckhoff was arrested and lodged for 1st Degree Assault, Use of a Deadly Weapon to commit a Felony, and Tampering with Physical Evidence.
