A former Scotts Bluff County corrections officer has been arrested for alleged sexual abuse of an inmate.
On Thursday, investigators with the Nebraska State Patrol arrested 55-year-old Christopher Schlosser of Scottsbluff at his home, for one count of sexual abuse of an inmate.
The incident occurred on October 13, 2025. Schlosser resigned his position at the Scotts Bluff County Detention Center shortly thereafter, after being placed on administrative leave, pending investigation.
The incident was reported to the Nebraska Attorney General’s Office, which has worked with NSP during the investigation. The Scotts Bluff County Detention Center also assisted in this investigation.
Schlosser was lodged at the Scotts Bluff County Detention Center.
