This week Lincoln Fire and Rescue stopped by several local retirement communities to introduce  it’s new “Community Connect” resource.  “This new program allows residents to create a secure, digital life safety profile that Lincoln Fire & Rescue can access during an emergency,” says Public Information Officer MJ Lierman.
Community Connect is a secure and user-friendly platform where residents can electively volunteer to share critical information, such as the number of people living in their home, any special needs, medications, gate codes and pet information.
“This information will be used by responding LFR crews to assist their response at fire, medical or any emergency at your home or business in a faster, safer, and more efficient manner,” Lierman says. “Being prepared can make all the difference, especially in an emergency.  We encourage residents and caregivers to take advantage of these resources and help us keep our community safe.”
