Lincoln Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help identifying suspects in two separate cases of vandalism.
The first case occurred on Monday, January 12, 2026, near on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln city campus near the Sheldon Museum of Art on 12th and “R” Streets.
LPD Video Forensics Technician Becky Keller said UNL Police were notified of some graffiti under a bridge near the museum. Review of security footage showed three males believed to be responsible for the vandalism the night of Sunday, Jan. 4.
The group is believed to have used a paint roller brush to tag “BUSTER – WHAT IS ART?” in large 24″ letters, police say.

The second case occurred around 6:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, near SW 5th and West South Street.
Keller said a male was caught on video throwing multiple rocks at the windows of at least three businesses, causing a significant amount of damage to more than five commercial sized window panes of glass.
The suspect is described to be in his late teens to early 20’s. Video also captured a vehicle following (or accompanying) the man before picking him up and taking off.
The car is described as an older silver or lighter colored Ford Fusion. Photo and video from the incident are available below.
