The 2025-26 Nebraska men’s basketball team has gone where no Cornhuskers team has gone before. Nebraska is ranked seventh in the Associated Press’s latest ranking of men’s college basketball teams, the highest-ever ranking for the Huskers. The prior high was No. 8, on Feb. 21, 1966 and matched last week.

Nebraska continued its best-ever start in school history with wins over Oregon and Northwestern last week to move to 18-0, while catching the 21st and 22nd consecutive wins for Husker men’s basketball dating back to last year’s Crown Tournament. Only three Division I men’s basketball teams remain undefeated: No. 1, No. 25 Miami and Nebraska.

The Huskers are next in action Wednesday at 8 p.m. as they host Washington. Pregame coverage begins at 7 p.m. on KLIN.
