Northwest winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph are expected across portions of west central Iowa and east central, northeast, and southeast Nebraska through 6 PM today (Friday 1/16/26)
Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects and tree limbs could be blown down with a possibility of a few power outages as a result.
Snow may also be falling and with the high winds travel conditions could be an issue especially with reduced visibilities.
