Lincoln Children’s Zoo officials say 2025 was a milestone year as they welcomed more than 400,000 visitors in a single year for the first time in its history. To be specific, 411,496 guests came through the gates last year, more than 28,000 more than the previous year.
“This milestone is more than just a number,” says Evan Killeen, Lincoln Children’s Zoo CEO. “This record-breaking attendance represents the support we receive from our community, the lifelong memories created here every day, and the animals we strive to protect locally and globally.”
Killeen says it also speaks to the incredible work of the staff, volunteers, partners, and supporters who make this zoo thrive. From daily zoo visits, education programs, and signature events like Zoo Lights Powered by LES, guests showed up to support the zoo and its mission in 2025.
Revenue and attendance directly support animal care, vital conservation efforts, and accessible educational opportunities for the community. “For everyone who walked through our gates in 2025 – thank you. You made this our most impactful year yet,” Killeen says.
