Former Nebraska quarterback Dylan Raiola announced he’s transferring to Oregon, according to a post on Raiola’s Instagram page Monday. Raiola was Nebraska’s starting quarterback for the last two years.
Raiola started 22 games for the Cornhuskers and threw for 4,819 yards, 31 touchdowns and 17 interceptions, then sustained a broken fibula Nov. 1 against USC, missing the final four games of the season.
Raiola has two years of eligibility remaining. Whether or not the starting quarterback job for the Ducks will be open is a question. Dante Moore, Oregon’s starting QB this season, has a year of eligibility remaining, though he is considering declaring for the NFL Draft. The deadline for Moore’s decision is Jan. 14.
Adding to the intrigue: Nebraska is scheduled to play Oregon in Eugene next season, date to be determined. The transfer portal is open until Jan. 16.
