Just before 8:00 Sunday night several residents called Lincoln Police to report gunshots being fired in the areas of 22nd and ‘D’ and 24th and ‘C’ Streets.  “One witness told officers he saw the driver of a dark-colored sedan with light blue headlights stick his arm out of the window and fire a handgun into the air 10-12 times,” says Public Information Manager Erika Thomas.

“Officers did locate multiple 9mm shell casings at 22 and ‘D’ and 24th and ‘C’, but did not see any damage to vehicles or residences.”  The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call Lincoln Police at 402-441-6000.
