Lincoln Parks and Recreation officials say the Superior Street Trail is now closed for utility work near the intersection of North 33rd Street and Superior. Work by Lincoln Electric System is expected to be completed by the end of January.
Trail users are encouraged to use the sidewalk on the north side of Superior Street during the project. Access is available by way of the signaled crosswalks at Industrial Avenue or North 33rd Street to reach the Salt Creek Levee Trail or reconnect with the Superior Street Trail.
Residents are reminded that access to the North 33rd Street crosswalk may be temporarily unavailable to allow crews to safely complete the work. For trail information, go to lincoln.ne.gov/trails.
