Nebraska added an edge rusher from the transfer portal, as former UCLA defensive end Anthony Jones committed to play his final year of college football for the Cornhuskers.
Nebraska will be Jones’ fifth school in five years, all Big Ten schools. After redshirting at Oregon in 2022, Jones worked into the playing rotation in 2023 against Indiana, also played regularly for Michigan State in 2024, before starting 10 games for the Bruins last season. He made 20 tackles, including 1.5 sacks. He led UCLA with 17 quarterback pressures.
The NCAA Football transfer portal remains open until Jan. 16.
