Lincoln Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help identifying suspects in two separate cases: a cluster of multi-city shoplifters; the other involving an auto theft investigation.

The first case occurred on around 9:30 p.m. on Monday, December 8, 2025, at the Burlington store near 64th and “O” Streets.

LPD Video Forensics Technician Becky Keller said three individuals reportedly came into the store, two women with large black purses and one male.

The trio used a device to unlock perfume and cologne from their security boxes, concealing the bottles in their black bags.

Keller said the same group has been reported for the same act in the Omaha and Papillion areas.

Video and photos are available below.

The second case occurred back on October 16, 2025, at a hotel near 11th and Calvert Streets.

Keller said hotel staff called Lincoln Police to report a red GMC Canyon pickup truck had parked there, but the driver got out and left it.

Investigators contacted the truck’s owner to ask why he left it, but the owner reported that his truck should have been parked at his residence near 98th and Pine Lake Road. The owner double checked and confirmed his truck was missing.

The owner told investigators that no one else should have possession of keys to the vehicle, nor would anyone be permitted to drive it.

The truck was recovered by officers at the hotel and returned to the owner, but investigators are still looking for the suspects who stole it.

Security footage near the hotel showed a man exiting the truck, talking to someone in a black Jeep Grand Cherokee, and then walking away.

Police are still trying to identify the suspect. Video and photos are available below.

If you have information on either of these cases, contact Lincoln Police at (402) 441-6000 to speak with an officer, or make an anonymous report to Crime Stoppers at (402) 475-3600. An anonymous tip can be left online through lincolncrimestoppers.com.
