No one was hurt after fire broke out inside a home near 61st and Holdrege Sunday afternoon. LFR Public Information Officer MJ Lierman says the homeowners called 911 around 3:30. “The damage was contained to the basement and the cause was determined to be a failure of a fluorescent light fixture.”
Lierman says the homeowners were able to get out of the house with their pets. T he American Red Cross was called to assist the family.
She says the damage to the house and and contents is estimated at $125,000.
