The City of Lincoln is reminding residents that fireworks use is prohibited during the New Year’s holiday.
City code only allows the sale and use of fireworks surrounding the 4th of July holiday: 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. July 3, and 8 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. July 4.
To report fireworks violations, residents must have an address or description of the property before calling the Lincoln Police non-emergency number at 402-441-6000. Call 911 only for emergencies.
