A cold front moving across the area Saturday night into Sunday is expected to bring in strong winds and much cooler temperatures by Sunday morning with windchills in the single digits Sunday afternoon.
A band of snow, strong winds (gusting to 40-50 mph), and some ice will combine to reduce visibility and create slick roads for travelers on Sunday. Blowing snow may linger in northeast Nebraska (20-40% chance) through much of the day after snow has stopped falling.
Temperatures are forecast to moderate by mid-week.
