No. 6 Nebraska wrestling dominated No. 16 North Carolina, 27-9, Friday night at John Cook Arena. The Cornhuskers registered four bonus-point victories to improve to 6-2 in duals this season.
The bonus-point wins started early, with No. 6 Antrell Taylor winning by major decision at 157 pounds to open the dual. After No. 10 LJ Araujo gutted out a 2-0 decision at 165 pounds, No. 6 Christopher Minto notched another bonus-point win with a major decision win at 174 pounds, opening an 11-0 lead. After a loss at 184 pounds, Nebraska responded with a major-decision win at 197 pounds from No. 10 Camden McDanel, then a pin from heavyweight No. 4 AJ Ferrari, opening a 21-3 lead with four matches to go.
After a loss at 125 pounds, back-to-back decision wins at 133 pounds by No. 8 Jacob Van Dee and 141 pounds by No. 3 Brock Hardy clinched the dual win.
The Huskers are next in action Sunday at 1 p.m. against No. 5 Oklahoma State at John Cook Arena.
