Nebraska football coach Matt Rhule announced the hiring of Lonnie Teasley as run game coordinator and Roy Manning as edge rushers coach Friday, as the Cornhuskers wrap up preparations in Lincoln for the Las Vegas Bowl against Utah.

Teasley joins the Nebraska staff after working for South Carolina for the last five seasons. The last three years, he was the Gamecocks offensive line coach. Teasley worked with Rhule at Temple as an assistant offensive line coach in 2014.

Meanwhile, Manning coached with new defensive coordinator Rob Aurich at San Diego State. Manning was an Aztecs’ assistant for the last two years after serving as USC’s associate head coach and outside linebackers coach for two seasons. He also coached at Oklahoma, UCLA, Washington State, Michigan and Cincinnati during his coaching career.
