Lincoln Police were called to Northeast High School around 3:00 on December 2nd on a report of sexual abuse by a school employee. LPD Public Information Manager Erika Thomas says multiple students reported inappropriate touching by an English Learner Teacher, identified as 62-year-old Daniel Holmberg of Lincoln.
“Over the last two weeks, LPD’s Special Victims Unit has forensically interviewed multiple female teenage victims, all of whom speak different primary languages other than English,” Thomas says. “Through the investigative process, probable cause was developed to arrest Holmberg.”
He was taken into custody at his residence Tuesday afternoon around 1:00 and taken to the Lancaster County Jail on four felony counts of sexual abuse by a school worker. The investigation is ongoing and Thomas says there could be more victims. Anyone with additional information is asked to call SVU at 402-441-8674 in reference to case number C5-105916.
