Nebraska running back Emmett Johnson earned second-team recognition as a Walter Camp All-American Friday. The Walter Camp All America team is the oldest All-America team in college football, with the 2025 squad the 136th edition.

Johnson’s 2025 season was one of the best by a running back in Nebraska football history. His 1,451 rushing yards ranked in the top 10 in school history and were the most by a Husker since 2014. Johnson rushed for better than 100 yards eight times this season, including six times in conference play. Johnson’s average of 120.9 rushing yards per game led the Big Ten and ranks fourth nationally.

Johnson also led all FBS running backs with 46 receptions for 370 yards. His 151.8 yards per game from scrimmage also lead the nation.
